Results of a prospective clinical study
This study revealed a significant reduction in bacterial presence, particularly along wound edges and surrounding areas after simple mechanical debridement with cotton pads to reduce bacterial colonization in wounds. Results suggest the incorporation of this method alongside antimicrobial therapies for a more comprehensive approach to wound management.
